Poorly defined question.
"if atheism became a very popular movement"
That part makes little sense in relation to the rest of the question.

"and theists started a war about it."
A war about people having no belief in deities? That sounds a little crazy but okay.

"what would you do?"
I would say it's crazy.

"Could you bring yourself to kill to defend your right to freedom from religion?"

If pushed to that point yes. You defined the fact that someone else started a war over my not believing as they do so it sounds more like I'm defending my own life. So in defense of myself certainly I would be willing kill every person on this hypothetical 'opposing side'.

Just when I start thinking the above scenario sounds utterly ludicrous I see something like this nonsense...

"Atheism is belief in nothingness..."

Seriously rupert4christ you are just being glib aren't you? No one could possibly believe what you just wrote.

I would love to believe that this couldn't happen and yet history has shown that humans will certainly make war against those that don't follow their religion. rupert4christ has demonstrated the first step in defining someone as your enemy. Redefine what they stand for and believe.

Honestly? I'd probably kill as many as I could.

I am an atheist. I am gay. Right there I'm a minority within a minority (not even factoring in the fact that I'm a first generation American). I'm jaded and not such a nice person at times. I hold theism directly responsible for many of the world's woes, so if theists started a war over the increasing strength of a hypothetical movement, then, hypothetically, I'd kill off as many as I could for as long as I could because I'm a product of this world.

If theists were killing atheists, then I'd have to fight them (the theists). If atheists started a war on theists in order to force everyone into atheism, I'd have to fight the atheists. I'm not into dictators.
I'd fight for freedom either way.

Myself, no. I am a pacifist I do not support warfare under any circumstances and I would never kill another human being. There is always a better alternative but humans are generally too stubborn to take the more peaceful route.

I'm not sure I would kill for freedom from religion, but I would certainly kill in self defense.

Atheism is not a movement, and it never will be. It is simply the absence of a religious view of the world. We don;t organize.

To defend my right to freedom of (and from) religion? Yes, I would fight for that. I refuse to be made to follow someone else's religion, and I'll be damned if I'll let my children be forced to follow someone else's religion.

I sincerely hope it never comes to that.

no chance of that... Atheism is belief in nothingness and it will end there...

The secular world projects Atheism in media because they like to make controversy and stay alive. So some people think it is a popular movement.

I guess it would depend on the nature of the conflict. I'm not a pacifist, but I am deeply committed to non-violence. So, I guess I would only use lethal force if they were rounding up atheists and executing them.
