You should ask your doctor. You're supposed to gain weight while pregnant, though so he may not want you to be on a diet. I don't think any woman likes the weight gain of pregnancy, but you need to think about the baby's health. You can go back to dieting after your baby is born. Congrats!

Weight watchers is a great eating program regardless of your health situation. As long as you don't under eat, you'll be fine using the point system.

I did weight watchers and it's probably one of the healthies diets to be on.....I'll bet the doctor may know -- you may not have to add calories. But you WILL. Trust me, the hunger will heighten. You may have to wait and go back on it. Only because I'm pretty careful about fat grams, etc. BUT while I was pregnant -- OMG....

Dont diet while you are pregnant!!! You need to listen to your body as your baby needs the extra calories and nutrients! Dont go crazy and eat pizza and fried chicken everyday but dont deny yourself foods that you are craving because you'll find that you usually need something from the food you are craving - eg: milkshakes, you might need more calcium :)

I don't know, but I DO know that I am proud that you are going to watch what you eat while you are pregnant. Trust me, the pounds add up FAST if you just go crazy and throw any notion of healthy eating out the window. And, if you breastfeed, it's hard to restrict calories without cutting your milk supply (trust me, I know).

You should ask your OB/GYN. Don't trust others with wifes tails and such. He or she is the professional and that is what you pay them for.
