Science has proved it is legitimate in its age and that it is real human blood, there is no evidence of it being altered in any way. However there is no way to know whether it is from Jesus or not, but it is from someone who was crucified around that time.

I do not think about it, unless someone mentions it.
Interesting. I love archeology and research, and modern scientific techniques.
I am not sure that Our Heavenly Father would have allowed the shroud to be found, unless it was mentioned in the Bible as a prophecy. I know that when Mary Magdalene went to the tomb the boulder was moved, and the tomb was missing a body, and only the shroud was left. But who is to say that when the guard saw that, there was no shroud, and he took one from another crucified prisoner and put it there?
There were crooked greedy people back then, too, and if one of them found the shroud, it would have been sold for big coin, and God would have let nature destroy it before now.

I really don't think about it much. But I think it is likely a fake. Many of the artifacts that the Catholic church has collected throughout history are not real. I seem to recall reading a while back that they had some bones that were supposed to be Joan of Arc's. The bones turned out to be cat or dog bones one. I forget which.

Wasn't it a hoax?

Besides, if Christians want to have it dated, why do they use the methods of science? They're quite happy to have sciences help when it comes to their silly cloths, yet its a whole different story when similar methods are used to verify the age of human fossils... Then they claim the methods aren't trustworthy.

Hypocrites.

Carbon 14 proved it is a medieval shroud, and a complete fraud.

People buried in that time were buried with their bodies wrapped in cloth then their heads were wrapped separately in cloth.
