Another poster recommended ginger and peppermint tea. Be cautious in using mint products, as they can relax the esophageal sphincter and allow gastric fluids to back up into the esophagus. Tea, however, is an excellent antiemetic (antinausea and antivomiting product).

Very hot, very sweet brewed (not instant) tea may help relieve your symptoms. Nonherbal teas, such as Lipton or Luzianne, may work better.

If you have teabags handy, you might try a cup of hot tea with at least 4 teaspoons of sugar (I know, I know. But sodas have even more sugar in them--8 tablespoons per can!).

This tip was given to me by a nurse when I was hospitalized with a tube in my nose and could not stop vomiting. It worked. Instantly.

I don't know if this will help. But you could try a tea with ginger and peppermint in it. I've drank a lot of tea with the ginger, and it does seem to help settle my stomach.
