does anyone out there know where to buy custom coloured ps3's that arent from ebay and are in the UK

They are only made in black in UK at the moment. They will be introducing new colours over here next year. In Japan they have all sorts of colours and the user can custom make their own.

The best way is to go to someone you know, or a friend of a friend that works as a painter, automotive or something. That way you can get it done as a favour. I don't know if there are specialty places that paint the PS3, but it would be like painting a car or something like I said, so maybe there are places you can go. There also may be online stores where you could send your PS3 in to have it painted, but I'm not sure...

White 40GB is already on sale in Japan. Third party companies (PCN) are planning to release custom colored PS3s. Don't try to use regular paints, color paints - they can damage PS3, cause overheating, etc.

correction there not just made in black theres also a creamy white version just very hard to get ur hands on try ebay ;)
