i rather go with the buttercream roux frosting.

the cream cheese frosting is too rich for a red velvet

Personally I like the cream cheese frosting. But really it's up to you.

Cream cheese frosting! yummy!

or try using
White chocolate cream cheese frosting.
2 tbl lemon juice
2 pkg cream cheese (8 oz pkg)
1 cup unsalted butter
14 oz bag of wilton white chocolate candy melts

Melt the candy melts and let cool, but not harden, then combine butter and cream cheese, add in the melted white chocolate, then mix in the lemon juice and taadaa....let set in fridge for an hour and its ready for use
yeilds 4 1/2 cups

using candy melts is essential, regular white chocolate i find, makes the mixture too runny...but you can always add in a few cups of powdered sugar.
