I think it must suck to be Muslim in America these days, what with all the hatred towards them.
Theirs is not a religion of hate, and it is really sad that a few extremists have given the rest of the world that impression.
How would Christians like it if people viewed Fred Phelps as the symbol for all Christianity? Or Hitler, who was a Christian? They did not represent the whole. Most Muslims are decent people just trying to live their lives. That is what I think of them as: people.

I think that they have different beliefs than I have.
I think that, like many groups (religious, racial, lawyers), there is a radical fringe element that gets more press coverage than the majority that gives that majority an undeserved bad reputation.
I think that if the majority does not speak out against the radical minority, the minority will cause others to view all muslims with suspision.

I think muslims have a duty to help dispel the misinformation about our religion, and that we need to show that by example most of all.
I think we have a tough job to do, but we're up to the task, inshaAllah.

My brother-in-law is Muslim. I do not have any problems with them in general. I only have problems with individuals within the faith.

Their religion, whether they refer to themselves as peaceful or not, is at the root of nearly every armed conflict in the world today.
I can't think of too many good things to say about any religion with such credentials.
