So here is my take on the after life. I believe there is a GOD, However. I don't believe I have to go to church every Sunday to go to heaven. I mean for god sakes (pardon the pun) the church (no specific religion) is just another business out there making money. Is it not? Do u agree, disagree with me? My specific church has a capital campaign going on right now to build on to the church and school. BEFORE they started asking the general congregation for money they had over 1.8 million dollars. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? When there are homeless people on the street and you and I both walk by them and either ignore them or simply lie that we don’t have any change/cash.

So what do you think? I am just wondering and would like to get your honest NICE opinions.

Before you start ranting about your church you have to consider that if you believe in God you should be believe in and practice all of his teachings in order to go to heaven. Searching for what God wants can take some time, yet don't give up. Read the Bible, and other religious works and you will be able to find the answer. As a Catholic, I have found truth with the Catholic Church and go to church every Sunday.

I believe that the creator is far beyond any human understanding. And that arguing and killing one another over religious differences is a tragedy. As for churches and their leaders, from personal experience I neither value not trust most of them. There are exceptions, but for many the ministry is just a power and money trip. True religion is to care for the widowed, the poor and the homeless. Not to build mega-churches and wear $1000 suits as many pastors do. This is my honest opinion, and thanks for asking.

You're partially right. The Church is more than a money making business. In fact, it's more than just a congregation.

They ask for money because it takes money to run the ministries they feel God is calling them to do, but more than that, the real Church is all believers. Getting to heaven by staying home and doing nothing but saying "I believe I'll be in heaven," is fine, but you're missing out on the heaven that starts NOW, not after you're dead. You missing out on the union you can have with God through other people.

Loving one another is Jesus's primary command to us. That's hard to do on your own, without your brothers and sisters around you.

Maybe God has a plan for you to take. Church has never been my major every Sunday either, but still my thoughts are with him as prayers are said everyday before meals and before bed time.
God has a road for all of us and if we seek him and ask him what road to take, he will show you and you do not have to go to Church for that answer.

You're right. Church only shakes your faith and is putting money towards nothing but an undercover scam. There is no God; don't waste your time worshiping something that isn't there. If there was a God, he wouldn't supposedly "condemn us to Hell" for denying him or the like. No God.

Men have always seek ed dominance and control. The only way to control someone is with fear. Religion was instituted to control the population. I was a christian for many years and was even called to preach the gospel but as i studied more and more i found over 300 contradictions in the bible i wish not to shake someones faith but study study and study you will see.

I believe churches are just for the money and the brownie points.
Though i don't believe in heaven or hell.
And I do believe in a higher power, just not "A GOD"
And I don't believe in Jesus either
