I have to do a mile in P.E but my problem is that I cannot run. My grandfather had bronchitis and I have a cold that won't go away which makes it harder of me to run. (cold medicines don't work. I don't have a runny nose or anything except when i eat spicy food. Also I am overweight so what might be the problem? It is the weight or family history? Its like after the first lap i get tired but i can make it but after it when the third lap starts it get very hard I want to improve what must i do? Besides next year I want to join a school sport. Track seemed like a good option if only i coulf figure out the problem

I'd recommend going to the doctor and having a physical. I can walk or bike for hours, but if I'm forced to jog or run, I can't do it. I have exercise-enduced asthma. That is a possibility for you. You might not have a cold; you might have allergies (I know people who have them year round).

Weight could have a factor in it. If you want to play sports, I would recommend something with less running or short bursts, like volleyball or softball (if running for a short period of time is okay with you). And practice; the more you do it, the better you'll get and the less difficult it will be - unless you have a medical issue, which is why I suggest going to the doctor.
