No, thats silly. Suicide is when someone intentionally takes their own life, not as a result of surgery going wrong.

No, she didn't commit suicide.
But she didn't listen to the physicians who told her that she was a poor surgical risk, either.
Surgery entails huge risks - even when you are healthy.
It's not something you want to do lightly - the benefits must clearly outweigh the risks or I wouldn't do it.
