If you have just purchased MS Office 2003, the CDs should have come with a product key. Often, this is printed on a label that is inside or on the back of the CD case.

The username info should be simply a field for you to fill in, and doesn't need to be validated...It's just so that your system has a name attached to documents that you create.

You must have Vista OS which is not compatible with older office versions. Besides office 2003 is outdated and lacks the desired features of later versions. If you want to keep it then just click cancel on all the pop ups and see if the program opens.

Are you connected to the Internet when you enter your information? It needs to be verified by Microsoft to be "officially" registered.
