Well, at least quote the whole thing: An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, but vengeance is mine, says the Lord.

We do not personally need to exact an eye for an eye or tooth for a tooth. We should turn the other cheek - be the better person - and the world will make sure that each person gets exactly what they deserve.

Turn the other cheek in most circumstances. If someone is going to try to harm me or my family then they better be prepared for a royal butt kicking. I may be a yogini and a Buddhist but I kickbox too.

Perfect example. Old testament: Bitter, mean, ruthless God. Eye for an eye type. New testament: Loving, caring, forgiving God. I follow the new testament. The word stright from God is always best.
