You can still munch after school...but do it in a healthy way. Try veggies or fruits or granola. Or even some healthy cereal. You shouldn't deprive yourself of food, but you should give your body the right types. Another good snack is some Triscuts with lowfat cottage cheese..or any fruit paired with cottage cheese. you should be eating healthy every two - three hours to keep your body from going into starvation mode...which then it will store fat. If you eat healthy snacks and meals every two - three hours then your metabolism will keep burning the way it should. Also drink a lot of water and try jogging! And remember to not eat huge portions either, just enough to satisfy. Save the junk food for special occations or just every once in a while.

Make sure you lunch is big enough and that you eat it all.

Most kids will stop eating when they're friends have regarding if they have finish themselves, don't fall into that habit.

If you have a "traditional" packed lunch, try substituting the less healthy stuff (eg. chocolate bars, fizzy/sugary drinks/crips etc) for healthier ones (eg. fruit in any form: fresh, canned or dried, crackers and proper cheese, pure fruit juices, chopped raw vegs)

Go for something healthy like apples, low fat crackers, yogurt, whole grain bread with cheese, strawberries, bananas, organic popcorn, low salt/fat pretzels, etc.

Or go for a long walk/run to get both your body and your mind functioning.
