Not all people can agree on anything...and the personage of "Jesus Christ" or rather Jesus "the" Christ is a hotly debated topic...even among Christians. So, no, I doubt that atheist would agree that he was the 'greatest man in history'.

I think anyone or any religion would agree what "great" means.
It depends on what an individual would consider to BE "Great".
Whether or not we know the person to be who and what they are.. we know what is considered to BE GREAT.
Whether or not you believe if Jesus IS the Christ... or the Son of God.. or the Savior.. the Jesus written about in a bible.. DID Great things!
Great is what we consider deeds or things to be something that we can role model ourselves after!
I think that EVERYONE in this world agrees with that concept.. but knowing a Name or purpose of a person is subject for debate. Greatness is Greatness... who can argue with the facts that a book said that someone was Great by His deeds?
The fact of the matter is, Jesus is Immortal because Man has made Him that way.. through teachings, and stories past from generation to generation. SO GREAT in fact that people believe IN Him... I would say that is a pretty GREAT accomplishment... has anyone else in this world succeeded at such a task?
I have teachings on faith and creation here if you want to see..

Was Jesus really a man if he was the incarnation of God? I would say he has an unfair advantage if this is the case. None of the rest of us can perform miracles.
On the other hand, if he was a normal human being, he certainly made a lasting impression. Although it would mean he was some sort of megalomaniac nut and I would see this as disqualifying him from being the greatest anything.

Not as a generalization. Some theists don't even believe Jesus existed, and the rest have a very wide range of opinions on him as a man. I am neither an atheist nor a Christian, and personally I don't see why I should say that Jesus was better than, say, Ghandhi, or even that he's better than many of the Catholic saints who lived very exemplary lives.

I am sure that he was great in the whole judging thing, he was a fair man. But as for greatest in history? I don't know. I can say that without having to buy in to the dying for sins spin.
I can think of scientists who have saved many lives (Salk - polio) which was great for humankind.
But Jesus' legacy? Without the religious hoopla, I don't know if he's so STELLAR.

sparticus accomplished more in his lifetime than jesus did in his.
jesus didn't become popular until after his death.
sparticus led a gladiator rebellion that put much of the populace of rome in fear, jesus was just some unheard of preacher that got punished by the roman empire in some backwater province most people didn't care about.
saladin had more of an effect on the world than jesus.
jessie jackson and al sharpton have done more for the world than jesus did.
martin luther king and malcom x did more for the world than jesus did.
augustus ceasar was probably the single most (if not one of) the greatest rulers in the history of the world.
in order to be the "greatest man in history" you need to have some accomplishments to attatch to your name.
when you look at it- jesus really didn't have any during his lifetime- his fame and popularity came poshumously, and people using his name later on.

Jesus was crucified for claiming to be God in the flesh. He was (1) God in the flesh, (2) a liar, or (3) a lunatic. Believers think he's (1). Atheists believe he was (2) or (3). How could someone think that a liar or a lunatic was the greatest man in history?

Norman Borlaug is the greatest man in history. That man has saved literally billions of people from starving to death, and nobody knows his name and some people hate him for it.
I don't deny Jesus' existence. You can't really say he absolutely did or did not exist. Sure, he had some good things to say, but they were just rehashing previous teachings.

Jesus is no where near the greatest man ever.. What has he done?? Einstein, Newton, Copernicus, Even Al Gore is greater than Jesus. He's doing something about Global Warming.

While I try my best not to put people on pedestals, I have little doubt that Jesus did, in fact, exist and that his story has influenced people profoundly and perhaps more profoundly for the good than any other person I know of.
Nonetheless, I am an atheist.
