All I know is that I've read this somewhere either in this section or somewhere on the internet but it said that in one of the verses in the Bible, that Jesus said to one of those people on Earth, something like this, "Behold, there are many mansions in my Father's house and thou hasth prepared a place for you there."

So, let me get this straight, God knows everything about everybody, he can read thier minds, knows what they're thinking, knows what they like, and he has prepared a place for them in Heaven? Since when did God care about what people want and prepare a place for them? I thought all God wanted was for everyone who dies and goes to heaven to just get down on their knees and serve and worship Him for ever and ever nonstop whether they like it or not?

I guess you were wrong, eh?

God really DOES care about you.

The part about God caring enough to prepare just the perfect place for you, now THAT is in the Bible.

The rest of it, the part you got wrong, that's just conjecture and misinterpretation.

The Bible verse you're referring to is John 14:3, "In My Father's house are many mansions, etc." I've referred to this website before, www.blueletterbible.org where you can type in, say, the word mansion and the site will give you a list of every verse where the word appears. Lots of other good stuff there, too.

Now for the last paragraph of your statement. Yes, God does know everything about everybody who has ever lived and ever will live on this planet. God told Jeremiah the prophet that God knew Jeremiah before he was even born. Psalm 139 has another passage that speaks of God knowing everything. But that's only part of the picture. God knows all we have done, and ever will do, and loves us anyway!

You also ask, "Since when did God care about what people want . . ." There are a couple of ways to interpret what you're saying. One is bewilderment or surprise that God would do such a thing. He has! He does! True, He wants us to love and follow His directions, because if we don't, we are already under the control of God's enemy, Satan. Jesus said if you weren't for Him, you were against Him. The other way to take your question is one of sarcasm, but I prefer not to think that of you.

Finally as far as worship Him forever, that will be just fine for me. I don't deserve God's love, and I don't deserve anything else He did--for me or for anyone else. It's GRACE, God's unmerited favor, that brings salvation and forgiveness. Given the choice of worshipping God forever, or suffering in the flames of Hell, friend, I made my choice for God and would do it again if I had to.

the verse you quote is a statement made in Jewish engagements. a statement that the bridegroom says to the bride.

the bridegroom spends (a year?) building an entire fully furnished house to bring his bride to after the wedding ceremony.

when the house is finished. and the father is pleased with it. then he tells the bridegroom to go and get his bride.
.

all who love God worship Him as an act of their own will.. because they are convinced - by His demonstrations of love and grace toward them, because He is the creator of heaven and earth - that He deserves all the worship.
.

however.. worship is not all that those in heaven do. there are only a few angels that are in the presence of God that worship Him nonstop.

people that go to heaven have homes to live in, have enjoyment of families, and also will be given assignments to do in the millenium.. and for eternity.

i believe that eternity will involve making every solar system habitable, and colonizing every planet.

He did not say the mansions were in heaven, in his father's house are many mansions, the house of Abraham Lincoln, and Dwight David has many mansions, in the kingdom of Jesus the Christ :)

We are his creation and there is reason that he created us.

We are to him like a computer program is to us humans.

We are just an experiment, perhaps a very successful one. Still, at the end of the day we are expendable.

Love is not the same as amazement and fascination.
God may love us, but maybe he is just fascinated with his creation. Maybe he is not so evil as to create unescesary suffering, but he may not be too concerned when it happens (much like the way we treat fish or mice).

Since the beginning. He has been true as always. He wants worship and service to him to come through love and not being "haved to" do anything. I imagine there would be a lot of people in heaven praising his name, as with him they have beaten death and are more than pleased to say good things about their rock and deliverer.

God loves his creation!! He loves us so much that he sent his only son to die a horrible death on the cross for sinners who were screaming to crucify him! He wants to have a relationship with us...he's preparing us perfect place out of love! I don't see God as arrogant the way you've described.

Jesus goes to prepare a place for US.
We do not prepare our own place.
Get your quotes right.
Pick up a Bible and read it for yourself.
