Hey,
what is the length of the USB cable that charges the PS3 sixaxis controller?
And how long does one battery life of a controller last until it has to be charged again?

The length of the USB cable that comes with the PS3 is about 4.5 feet long (I measured the USB cable that I have with my PS3.)
The USB cable that comes with the PS3 isn't the only cable that can be used to charge the controller. I think that the USB cable is a Mini B USB cord. But I have also purchased another Mini B USB cord that's about 7 feet long, so as long as it's the same type of USB cord, any brand of USB cord can be used.
The battery life on the controller is about 30 hours, but also it depends on how much you use the controller. For instance, if you use the controller with the PS3 for about 3-4 hours a day, the battery wont need to be recharged for least 5-6 days.
Also, when the PS3's battery gets really low, it will display a message on the screen letting you know when it gets really low. And you can also see how much battery power is left in the controller at any time by just pressing the center PS button.

I couldnt give you a length but it is fine to charge and play at a suitable distance from the TV. You get a free USB cable with the PS3 but can get a longer one with amazon or ebay. The battery lasts for about 6-8 hours on full charge depending on how much you play!

The USB cable that charges the PS3 is about 5 feet long, and it comes with the PS3 system. There are longer cables that are sold separately if you need one that is longer.
The controller has a battery life of about 30 hours, and takes about 2.5 hours to fully charge.

You can use any USB - mini B cable. When I felt, that cable provided with PS3 was too short, I went to a computer store and bought another one (around 2m long). Costed me like 4$.

with constant usage about 4 to 5 hours stand by a few days
I have a 30 ft cable on mine and it works fine
