I have no idea what kind of gift you should give, but I will say this: If this man has mental health issues, try to get her away from him - now. If the murder was a matter of self-defense, that's different. Trust me on this one. I once dated an absolutely gorgeous man (I was younger and foolish; I let his looks and the fact that lots of girls wanted him cloud my judgement) who had mental health issues. I didn't wake up 'til he killed someone. That's what made me look at the way he was with me and realize that he could have easily killed me, too. I have no idea what it will take to wake your sister up if it wasn't self-defense, but please try.

DO you want to be serious or funny? An axe is the first thing I thought of. If that is not appropriate, give them something nice like a basket with kitchen towels and spices or something.

Rapid aging going on here. Anti-aging face cream would be my suggestion for these special circumstances.

Pepper spray. And put a little note on it that says "You know, just in case" with a little smiley face on it.

So you're worried about the gift not about your sis? give her a S&W .38 pistol, she might need it.
