1. Mormon is actually a slang term for members who belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
2. Jesus Christ established a church when he was alive, He led the church and he had 12 apostles to help him teach.
3. Christ was killed, and eventually the 12 apostles as well. The Gospel of Christ was lost to the earth - this is known as the great apostasy and corresponds with the Dark Ages.
4. Joseph Smith, a young man interested in following the commandments of God he found in the Bible prayed and asked which of all the churches were true. God and Christ appeared to him to answer this prayer (God often spoke to man in the Bible, why should modern day be different).
5. Joseph Smith was called, by God, as a Prophet much like Moses and Noah. He then translated the Book of Mormon (a record of the Native American people including Christ's visit to them after His Crucifixion) and restored Christ's church to the earth, complete with 12 apostles, just like ancient day.
6. My answer - God isn't Mormon, Mormons just belong to His church, and even so, my testimony is founded in knowledge, not hope.

If God returned and you found out He WAS a Mormon, would you reconsider YOUR testimony?

Hmmm....

Actually, I'm sure that whatever happens, God will look on the heart of man, and not their chosen religion. If a person tried their best to find the truth, and sincerely believed that their chosen beliefs were true (whether or not they were correct), then God will take that into consideration.

The doctrines of the LDS church go directly against God's word! So, he's not a "Mormon"!

God is not a Mormon according to God. He made Joseph Smith. Followers of Joseph Smith are Mormons..not God.

God is God.

So............... technically speaking , your question makes no sense. Reask by all means, please. And no, I am not a Mormon.

I don't think God has a religion. Religion is for those who need it. If you are not a sinner, do you need religion, a church, or a savior?
