those were good years for dodge and those year models will certainly hold and increase value
but if your used to driving newer cars then it will most defiantly handle and drive much different
first you will have alot of low end torque but it will not handle corners anywhere near as well as newer vehicles do
as far as the top speed that just depends on the type of transmission was put in it
most cars built for low end power do not have the best top speeds usually the transmission's highest gear ratio is only 1:1
but they will come out of the gate alot faster than you think
good luck

Drives like a tank but is a car that you feel it. There is a magic lost on newer cars that those had. Is not about comfort, is not about gadgets, is not about 200MPH +, is not about cornering. Is about acceleration, drag racing, from stop light to stop light. Those cars were more like race cars. If you see a race car is way different from the street car. Back then was a cheap car with the biggest and meanest engine on it. Is addictive once you drive one. When you step down and drive a newer car is like gutless... is some that you feel by the seam of your pants. A 4 cly does not have that feeling to it like driving a train or a tank. You might like it or not, in my case I like the feel to it.

One thing that is the top of it is, those cars they had a design in particular. They can be spotted even at night by the look of the headlights. So they were unique in a good way.

Even the colors made the car, like Purple, Yellow and Green. Those yucky neon-screaming colors with Fat Black Rally Stripes only goes well with MoPar, no other car.

If restored to OEM condition with factory size shocks and tires they handle a couple of steps above lousy. If you install gas shocks, wider wheels, say seven inches, and wider tires to fit those wheels, larger diameter torsion bars and a rear sway bar, handling goes up a few more steps. The aftermarket for Mopars today is above and beyond what it was ten years ago, lots of good suspension pieces are available to make it handle like it was on a rail and still look original to the "non-Mopar-nut" eye. Pick up a Mopar Muscle or Mopar Collectors Guide magazine(s) at your local newstand and read it, lots of good stuff available.

wow, BROAD question...

all of this depends on HOW you restore it, you can make the car however you want...

its totally up to you how it turns out
