I just got my results back from the doctor and they said my thyroid is fine/normal. Does that mean I have a normal metabolism? Not too fast or too slow?

Yeah for the most part yours should be fine. Glad yours came back normal. How about hormones ? Did they test for that? I had to ask my doctor to test for my testosterone level and he was more than willing to. In men a low testosterone level can led to depression, weight gain, low energy, and so on. Turned out mine was a little below normal so I have been getting shots of testosterone and it has helped me out. I am not sure about hormones in women, sorry. You might want to look into estrogen and so on and see what low or high levels can do to your body and then if you think one maybe high or low ask your MD to have it checked. =)

Not necessarily. I can tell you from my own experience because i got tested for it and results showed my thyroid was perfectly normal. Yet i have metabolic disorder. And as for the too fast or too slow, it varies with the person.
