It is the Latter-day Saint belief that we all lived in the presence of God the Eternal Father before we arrived in mortality. We were His spiritual children and shouted for joy at the Plan of Salvation that He proposed and the Christ accepted.
We knew there would be risks, challenges, turmoil, and even short-lived lives, but we were all ecstatic about the venture.
Once we came into the world and beyond the veil all knowledge of our pre-mortal existence vanished because we live by faith that which is paramount to return to the Father's presence.

That we as humans evolved from pond scum is impossible for me to believe. The odds of a complete dictionary resulting from an explosion in a print shop is more believable. With that said, I fully believe that we came from a pre-mortal existence and dwelt there prior to birth. I also believe that such a place had to be the residence of a supreme, creative power. I therefore believe that we dwelt there, along with that creative power or deity.
So yes, I believe that we all "saw heaven before we were born."

Yes. There are a lot of verses that point to this, but the most famous is Jeremiah 1:5 :
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;
Before you were born I sanctified you;
I ordained you a prophet to the nations. "
I think a majority of Christians and Jews accept this belief, but that it is not taught as a doctrinal point of emphasis in some churches.

I don't see why you would see heaven before you were born, unless maybe you started to die but came back or something. But the world's view of God & Heaven is sort of like birght, and white and God sitting on a throne with angels with white dresses & wings that look like all of the cartoons we see & stuff, but the reality is that it is not like really that, infact in heaven we are to become higher than the angels because really they are just messangers.
Anyways I don't know if you really did see heaven before you were born. Maybe it was a dream from very early childhood or something? i dont know.

Many religions believe in life before this life.. so you are not entirely off track. It is really only the mainstream Catholics and their offshoots that deny a "pre-mortal existence" as it were. But the thing is, if our spirits are eternal.. and we beleive that they will continue on without end, then we must believe that they have no beginning either. Eternal means without beginning or end.

Possible to see? Yes, because we all came from there.
Possible to remember where we came from before we were born? I'm having a tough time with that one. But I guess with God, anything is possible. - Merry Christmas

We were actually there before we were born. We chose to come to earth and follow God's plan. We lived with Him before we were born.

That doesn't make sense. How were you alive before you were born? What?
And how do you know it was God?
