She is probably afraid of retribution, kidding, or "making a big deal out of it" by her parents and/or other family members. She may be concerned that one member of the family would not approve of him or think less or different of her for her choice in friend/partner. or...

She may not consider the relationship serious enough to bother showing the family. That's how my wife was before we married. I was her "first" boyfriend according to her family as they had never met any prior to me. This was because she had absolutely no serious intention with any of them, but with me, there was intention to go further with the relationship and so she told them, etc. and I met them and later we were married. That's the most logical reason why.

I think having a tittle at that age scares most young women. Specially if they have been hurt. I think you shouldn't worry about what she calls him I am sure if she wants to just take it easy with this relationship she is a smart girl. College girls are that college oriented. School and their work is on the top of the list. So give her time to take her time. He on the other hand shouldn't be labeling what she hasn't.

maybe there is something she isn't telling you. That's the only reason why she would act weird in that situation especially if the guy is telling people they are a couple. Be careful because it looks like she's not telling the truth about something. Good luck!

You should ask her this question. Maybe they have a romantic history that she's uncomfortable with or doesn't like to remember. Maybe he's just joking, but she doesn't tell him to cut it out. She's the only one who can explain the situation.

She either likes the attention or she is not sure about which direction she wants to go. It is also possible that she doesn't think of him as bf and therefore thinks it's cute.

Yoda out.

Quit pressuring her. Either accept her or leave her. It is just that simple.

The more pressure you put on her because of your insecurities the less she is going to feel she can communicate with you.

Good luck.

I don't know why she would consider him a friend.
She needs to let the guy know she's taken.
