thank's everyone. i called my doctor and he could't see me so he surgested that i go to the ER because one of my compaints was my left arm. i went and they kept me 13 hour's 2 blood test 2 ekgs and 2 chest xrays. i tried telling them that it wasn't my heart, it is the swollen area around the collarbone left side with a lump. they said they had to rule out any acute symptoms. they released me and told me to follow up with my pcp. will see on thursday. tried telling them my conern was my brother was told his issues were flu related and it wasn't tell he almost passed out at work one day that they did xrays and saw the mass growing in his chest. from what i've read on the left side nodes they filter other organs in the body. and the problem if there is one my be somewhere else. oh well just sit and wait.

DO NOT mess with this, get it checked out for your peace of mind. You are starting out like I did. The good news is, even if it's something bad, there are great treatments out there. But, you need to know for sure ASAP. Hopefully, it isn't something bad.
Best wishes

Good Gosh!

It is your body. Your family history! Do not wait on this Primary physician.
Sometimes doctors chalk things up as a pre-disposition too worry when we have a family history of cancer. My mother died at 59 because of that. No doctor really heard what she was saying until it was too late. At 31, just 3 years after she died I started having symptoms of colon cancer. I had a very difficult time getting an internist too give me a colonoscopty because of my age! I would not take no for an answer and I am alive today because of it! Find a doctor who will give you a enhanced x-ray or a P.E.T. scan.
I will be interested in hearing from you when you get a thorough exam. Good Luck!

you could just have an infection but since cancer runs in your family, you need to have it checked out. Don't put it off going to the doctor, if it is cancer, the sooner you have it checked the better odds of treating it and a cure for it. good luck! hope it nothing.

Yes you should be concerned, please get to a doctor or emergency room asap. The heart and blood pressure is probably fear and causing it to be high. But the lump needs to be looked at pronto. I have cancer and know that you can't waste time especially if you have a family history of it. Maybe it's just a boil but please have it looked at. And best of luck.

I too would have it checked out but also know that cancer is not hereitary. May be genetic but just because someone in your family has had cancer does not mean you will have it.
