Well hon, watch their behavior - in life or in attitude as they write their messages in cyberspace.

There are two passages in our Scriptures that give a fairly clear description of the way a Christian person should operate because of Jesus in their life.

Galatians 5:22-23 But the Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control. There is no law against such things as these.

And:

1st Corinthians 13:4-8a Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs; love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth. Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail. Love is eternal.

We all stumble and fall - 'cause we're human... but the ones who are real - have these traits in thier lives, and seek operate with others using these traits. The difference in them is their submission to Jesus Christ and making him the Lord of their lives.

Peace.

You know, given the Christian traditions of Ash Wednesday and being covered by the blood I think "Christain" has a nice metaphorical ring.

Edit: Thumbs down - I want so badly to know if you're a militant atheist (a paradox, innit?) mad I don't feel torn down by the insult or if you're an anti-Catholic fundie pissed that I said Ash Wednesday....

If they offer to save your soul then you've met someone who THINKS they're a Christian. Turn around and run, real fast.

Once you refine your gaydar, you can move on to chrisdar, but chrisdar is more diffucult because not all Christians are as eccentric.

Keep your (and their's) mouth shut and just watch what they do. No matter what someone says, actions show what they are.

It does not matter the words a person says. Watch their actions. It may take time.

Oh yeah, and they like to bare their fruit, as someone above pointed out.
