The Nickel. The Indian Head Buffalo Nickel has a very interesting story! Even a wikipedia reading of the coin will let you see how neat of a coin it was!

You could choose the quarter, because of the new state designs. You could also choose the penny, because it has an interesting history. Think about it -- how many things can you buy with a penny nowadays? A gumball costs at least 5 cents. You could talk about how pennies are nearly worthless, but some people insist on keeping them around. I know people who throw pennies on the ground, or even in the garbage.
