I am sick of sex, it's brought me nothing but worries and worries, how do I fight off the temptation next time?

it's called will power
i'm managing to do it. i got divorced and told myself that i wouldn't go around sleeping with everyone, which would've been easy. but that i'd rather wait for a serious relationship. i've had three relationships over the last year and a half and none have been long enough for me to term them serious. they all have known that i was wanting to wait. no pressure, well some, but just stay strong.

Maybe it's not sex itself that's brought you misery, but your choices of who to have sex with that's the problem. Maybe you need to raise your standards, get to know the person first, use protection, or fix whatever predominant personality problems you might have first?

I really don't have a good idea of how to distance yourself from sex. Your sex drive is caused by hormones and there's not much I know of that can surpress them for very long unless you were on some kind of antidepressant, and antidepressants bring with them their own problems. Not worth the risk and they don't totally eliminate it anyway. The only sure way to do it is if you are absolutely determined that you won't give in to the baser urges when they hit. A hard task to do and personally, not something I would want to do.

If you're serious about this, you just have to learn self control, but I think the bigger problem might be something else that needs fixed to reduce the consequences you've been experiencing.

Just think about how you feel right now and don't put yourself in tempting situations.

There is quite a saturation of "sex" everywhere we turn nowadays.....I too feel myself becoming less inclined for sex, then again I also think it has something to do with age and maturing.

hahahahaha, I laugh at all the women on here who ask "why?" Its easy if you're a guy to understand this, its not us that makes this a difficult ordeal, its you guys and your incessant whining, wanting to be coddled, etc. Its damn woman! Last night you were laying there all quiet and not able to feel your legs with a huge smile. Now you're right back to bitching.

why would you want too... sex doesnt bring those things.. emotions do, unless your stupid about it... just follow these rules... 1. be safe use a condom unless your in a steady relationship..2. dont cheat on anyone if you wanna have sex with more then one person be single...3.. just dont let it be an addiction... but wow to want to give it up is crazy, i dont see how sex should bring any extra stress if your going about it right...by the way there really is no way to stop the temptation except if you really do not want to have sex dont allow yourself to be in situations where it is possible

OK, Are you having risky sex, or too much sex? I don't really get the question. Sex is a very natural function that most animals on the planet partake in. If you think that there is an addition problem, and that you are addicted to sex, and therefore having risky unprotected sex then you should go to sexaholic's anonymous

Throw out the porn vids and mags, stop watching porn on the internet, shut down IM feature on your computer and look down on the floor whenever you are passing a girl or go join the Amish community or the army or a monastery or go join an all mens bible study group.

lol this reminds me of the movie 40 Days & 40 Nights. If you haven't seen it...watch it, Maybe you'll get some ideas.

But all I can think of is either A: Lock yourself in your house and do not invite anyone over.
B: Find some new hobbies.

Good luck

It's called will power, something many people do not have when it comes to certain things. If you're really sick of it, you probably won't be tempted next time.
