Rofl!! Yes, Robin. That's when I was being 'Em Adjineri', Vishal's (formerly known as 'Windom Earle') creation scientist friend - an imaginary person whose studies he used to reference when asking satirical questions 'disproving' the ToE. Sound it out, sweetie - Em Adjineri :)
My Zilla account got zapped and they caught me without a backup, so I turned Em into Zilla :)

"Why do you guys have to give us atheists such a bad name?"
*pulls Zilla's tail* Yep, this is the real one.

I have met some atheist people.
Not all atheists are the same, just like not all Jews, Christians, Buddhist, Hindus, etc are the same.
But the question that I would like to ask *some* atheists would be:
Why do you try to convince religious people that they are wrong?
And then I would probably go on with something like this:
The only reason some religious people tell you about their religion is because they believe that you will go to Hell if you don't believe "the truth". They are trying to help you. An atheist trying to convince a religious person that they are "wrong" is terrible. You aren't going to help someone by telling them that their religion is wrong. You aren't going to make them smarter; plenty of very smart people are religious. Plenty of atheists aren't that smart. Intelligence has nothing to do with religion.

May I ask two? Of course I know you'll let me. My first one would be as follows: Were you Catholic? (nothing against Catholics, but it seems just about every atheist I know used to be Catholic) My second one would be this: Were you raised atheist or did you just decide that you couldn't buy into God and all? Both of these would be asked without rancor because I really am just curious.

is it really easier for you to believe that somewhere in our ancient past the exact formula for life accidentally came together, eventually formed amoebas which throughout time developed into complicated life forms which somehow jumped species and turned into other animals and then into human beings ......than to believe that we were placed here by a greater intelligence?

I'm sure i meet atheist every day and don't know it i guess i treat them like everybody else i meet. if what you meant to say is what i would ask a atheist about his beliefs i guess i would ask him why, why with all the wonderful things around us do you find it impossible to believe there is a god that created us and everything around us.

Do you find the reactions of those who are not atheists/ agnostics, to be amusing when you try to explain your position to them? What is the most rediculous thing you have heard, upon revealing your atheism?
