she constantly talks of her wgt loss and the new sizes and the amount she eats etc.... I struggled and continue to struggle with trying to loose wgt. (surgery will not likely be an option for me as in my teenage years I was anorexic and bulimic----one of the family secrets) how do I try to deal with this......?

Take her to a buffet place to eat. That will tick her off. "pay for a meal? but I cant eat a meal. Cant I just nibble off her plate?"

Wait till she settles into the diet she has to eat all the time to keep her hair from falling out. A tea cup stomach has to process protein all the time to keep up.

Make fun of the handfulls of pills it takes to provide her nutrients

If she is still puking alot then watch her so she doesnt pass out from dehydration

Has she lost the ability to eat some things? lactose intolerant? fried foods? ice cream? pizza? enjoy those in front of her

Ask her when those new clothes will include a bikini. (or did she get the folds sewn up yet?)

Separate your situation from hers. She had to be very overweight to get this surgery. It's probably the first time in a long time that she has felt good about herself. Complement her and let her talk. She has too right now. Be happy for her and this will reflect on your good health.

unfortunately because of what you did to your body as a teenager you will have to work a little bit harder at what you do to lose weight. You have messed your body up with fluctuating so much and depriving and overeating. just try to be aware of what you eat and how much you eat, exercise a lot, and try to encourage your friend to exercise with you, cuz losing that much weight might be nice, but losing that quickly shes gonna have a lot of loose skin, so weight training would be good for her and for you!

just be happy for her, she is being insensitive though. Try not to be around her so much or you could tell her that it bothers you. I hope you the best.
