Several years ago I developed bronchitis just before a major performance. My voice coach suggested acupuncture. At the time I thought that was a ridiculous suggestion, but was desperate enough, I gave it a try. I went the day before my performance and was in full voice when the curtain opened. To my astonishment, it worked like a charm.

I learned never to doubt my coaches recommendations. To this day I have a hard time believing it worked, but would do it again, in a heart beat.

Give it a try. I bet you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Gargle warm salt water and stay hydrated. Be sure to take your cold medicine and if it helps, use throat spray. The worst part of a cold is the fact is that you have to wait it out. Just take care of yourself and be patient.

You could go on vocal rest and drink hot lemon tea. If that doesn't work I guess you'll just have to do your best, I'm sure it'll be okay. Best Wishes!!!
