Yep, as already been suggested - make the rice without the prawns and then just add them for a minute at the end.

U will need:
cooked rice (hot or cold) 2-3cups
the prawns (raw or cooked) 1/2 - 1cup shelled and tails off.
olive oil 2-3 tbls
soysauce 2-3 tbls
any veggies (I use any leftovers, then use frozen mixed with broccilli onions etc)1 cup
and any small bits of leftover cooked meat, chicken, pork and the prawns. (If only the prawns that is ok)1/2 cup
In the biggest frying pan or wok heat the oil.....add any cold or frozen veggies and allow to cook til just about done, and not overcooked
add the rice, soy sauce STIR very well add the meats or Prawns and just heat thru until the prawn /shrimp are hot. Serve immediately with extra soy sauce.

The best way to make fried rice is to boil the rice, leave to cool then pop in the fridge for a few hours(overnight is best) because this stops it from turning to mush, that's how Chinese cook it. Stir fry some chicken and beef strips then add your vegetables. In a separate pan fry a beaten egg whilst stirring constantly to get it into small pieces. Add the rice, egg and cooked king prawn to the wok of meat and veg add a few splashes of soy sauce stir well then stir fry for a few minutes then serve. Delicious!

Paul is right. Just put them in the last few minutes so they are heated through.
