Isn't everyone? It's just that some are selective about what they ask for proof of. Do you look down before walking down a flight of steps? It's such a minor thing why would someone need evidence of the existence of the steps when they don't need any for the largest claim ever made?
Oh and by the way, for those who need no evidence, all of your bills should now be paid to me because that was changed.

So that means you also believe whole heartedly in Santa Claus? Also the Tooth Fairy? You obviously do not need evidence of anything to believe. There are some of us who have the ability to think on our own and live in reality who want evidence. You telling me that there is a demon on my shoulder and to just believe that, does not make one there. Can you see what we are all getting at? Just because you believe all the way down to your tighty whiteys, does not make it so. And the problem with that is that you people are always trying to convert the smart ones who got away or force your beliefs on us or change our laws, all because you claim your God said so. Well it is OK if that is the case, but then prove to me your God exists and I will follow the laws you are trying to shove down my throat. Make sense now? Probably not for a theist.

How do you decide which things without evidence to believe in? Wouldn't there be somethings without evidence that you would not be proud to believe in? If you can think of an example, you might begin to understand our point of view.

It'd be a helluva way to conduct a court case, huh?
No actual evidence but plenty of hearsay based on ONE book based in Bronze Age myth and superstition - each story voted for inclusion by a buncha bishops who each had their own agenda all at the behest of newly converted sun worshiper who was dead - all this was translated from language to language by others with their own agenda and limited education who were expected to understand the nuances as well as the beliefs of the cultures that spawned the story-tellers.
Yah; that’d be a helluva court case.
AND that'd be one helluva basis to live one's life, huh?

Some are indeed proud of believing without any need for proof or evidence. Does this practice of believing in such things extend to your financial, professional or personal life? If it's not OK to believe in things you can't see or verify in those areas of your life, then why is it OK in your spiritual life?
This is a joke, right?

From my point of view....As I am not an atheist.....This whole evidence thing is because unless their is proof, they do not believe that anything can exist. Because of the fact that no one can come up with solid proof for their very eyes makes them doubt that such a thing exists. They cannot believe ion something they cannot see with their own eyes.
Don't know if that helps, but I hope that it does!

Yes I am a crazy lunatic for wanting evidence that a magic space guy impregnated a virgin human to give birth to a man-god hybrid that got crucified to sacrifice him to himself to save mankind from a law he himself created when the first lady he created out of rib of a man got tricked by a talking snake to eat some magical fruit of knowledge. YOU WOULD HAVE TO BE CRAZY NOT TO BELIEVE THAT!

Without evidence there is no belief. In order to have something be truth to you, you have to know based on facts and truth. If not, you are living in ignorance.

So you think our court system should be changed now to allow people to just make accusations without providing any evidence?
