Congratulations Dear....I would wear a black dress, simple but comfortable and sheek. A a nice button up sweater over the dress if needed and it can be a different color. Nothing too dressy or flashy but classy. Jeweley in good taste, simple string of pearls earrings to match. You'll look great.

If your tall get a v-neck or sleeveless mock turtleneck dress or something to flatter your shoulders go strapless. Accessorize with a nice clutch and matching earrings, rings, and bracelets or a watch. Most of all do your hair and enjoy your night. You made it, congragulations Graduate!

First of all CONGRATULATION!!!! I was 42 when I finally finished. I put everybody else first in my life, kids, husband, even the dogs. When I graduated, I wore a sexy baby doll under my gown and cap, send the kids to friend's house and celebrated the way I WANTED for change, alone with my husband and a bottle of good champagne. I got undressed in the car which almost gave my husband a heart attack...lol

Go for glamor because it's a big day. A satin blouse and ankle-length satin skirt would be elegant and classic. If you wore all one color, it'll make you look taller. Go for a dark color like pewter grey or navy blue which are the "in" colors this season. Wear small but sparkling earrings ike diamante studs which will be restrained but add to the effect of elegance.

When I graduated high school a few years ago, the guidelines that were given to the girls for what to wear under their gowns was "a tasteful black dress". You can never go wrong with a black dress!

Good luck and congrats!

I think you should wear a nice A-line skirt that hits just at your knees with a nice sweater on top. Put a big belt around your waist if you'd like to. For shoes, if you're not too short, some nice ballet flats or not-too-high closed-toe hees. For accessory, you should wear a nice string of pearl.

Congratulations! ~_*

well, I wore a simple dress under my cap & gown. I don't think you need to try to doll up much b/c you'll be in the cap & gown for the most part. i graduated in th summer so it was sweltering, I'm sure your experience will be different so you have to keep the weather in mind while you're preparing for this occasion.
