Hmm...... I don't know if I've technically received "hate mail," but one guy didn't like my answer to his question, so he started debating me on it. It was a very confusing conversation, but looking back on it, I think the problem was that he had the New American Bible confused with the New American Standard Bible.
At any rate, he ended up cutting the conversation short and basically telling me that I was too stupid to comprehend any of what he was saying. Does that qualify it as hate mail? Well, it ended on a fairly hateful note, at any rate.

I have a stack of letters (some written in blood) from satanist telling me to stop praying because I am hindering their power.
As for fellow believers, they argue the fact that there is no such thing as the Baptism of the Holy Spirit but a man with an experience is never at the mercy of a man with an arguement.

Never from a Christian.
I have had a few from others, Jews, Muslims, that are very sincere and devoted in their beliefs. I have found them to be quite informative, helpful even in furthering my understanding of their perspectives. And I do appreciate that. I received one recently which I tried to respond to, but the silly computer wouldn't allow it . I cannot understand why. I do respond. They have all been very nice people once you get past the initial barrage of "This is why you are so very, very wrong" sentences.
Never hate mail.
Atheists, well, they're a different story.

Yes, I received hate mail from a fellow "Christian" once.
I quoted Bible verses at him, and he went away.

I received hate mail from a Jehovah's Witness church after two missionaries that came to my door never went back to their church when I explained to them the processes that the Bible underwent in its creation? Does that count?
