Hate is too strong of a word. I think many are fed up with the Muslim extremism. I know I am. Especially after this damn stupid teddy bear episode..Why don't the Muslims put this same effort behind stopping terrorism, instead of going after this teacher? This is evidence of the peace loving Muslim, right?

I don't think its any specific person that is being hated on, but just like with any bad thing that happens from any group of people: one person does this, so they must all do it. I think Carlos Mencia put it best when he said that first it was black people, then Latinos, and now "tag", your turn.
I don't like putting everyone in the same religion under the crazy extremist category, because I know that isn't the case. There are many good Muslim people in this world. Just because there are a few ******* that do stupid, evil things in the name of said religion, we shouldn't believe you are all that way.
And, no, God wouldn't approve.
-The Gnostic Christian
ps- As long as you don't try to hurt people (regardless of your religion), we're cool.
edit:
to submerged_emotions- I think you give people too much credit.

Well the teddy bear incident in the Sudan is certainly helping to make Sharia law look stupid. That and the general denial that 9/11 was caused by Muslims doesn't help......
America whatever the right and wrong about A-bombing the Japanese never actually denied that they did it, they certainly didn't try to pin the blame on others or deny it happened.....

I know Muslims and they are good people. The problem is that 9/11 changed many people's view of Islam. Muslims are quick to protest when a joke is made about their beliefs, but they never protest when someone like Bin Laden hijacks their religion.

Don't be hard on yourself, sweetie. Some people, myself included, have very strong views on religion. It gets to our heads. We'd never say stuff like this to you in real life. You may very well be a very, very nice person; but on Y!A, the only things people have to judge you upon is what you present. If this is starting to get to you, you should try being as unbiased as possible. Ask ambiguous questions that will get you the answers you need. Most importantly, however, is that you don't lose hope. People really can be nice if given nothing to be mean about! Sorry if any of this was offencive.

Well perhaps there is a multitude of part-retarded americans on this who actually think bush knows what he is doing?... its a really a shame soo many people can be hated based on the extremism of such a small few, and i mean muslims and in turn americans however one could argue the americans are more deserving of the flack they get.

Different people express thier frustrations with other people in different ways. Westerners in post-industrial social-democracies do occassionally step over the lines they draw for themselves and make impolite remarks while shielded by the relative anonymity of the internet.
Certain other peoples, when similarly aroused, chop the heads of those they disaprove of while wearing masks.

Hate is a cruel word. If men hate you regard it not; and you can turn the hate of men to love and mercy and goodwill, and mercy is as large as all the heavens. And there is good enough for all. With good destroy the bad; with generous deeds make avarice ashamed; with truth make straight the crooked lines that error draws, for error is but truth distorted, gone astray. And pain will follow him who speaks or acts with evil thoughts, as does the wheel the foot of him who draws the cart. He is a greater man who conquers self than he who kills a thousand men in war. He is the noble man who is himself what he believes what other men should be. Return to him who does you wrong your purest love, and he will cease from doing wrong; for love will purify the heart of him who is beloved as truly as it purifies the heart of him who loves.

Not really hated...just not understood! Most of their/your ideas are so off beat and out of touch with our ways, it's hard to comprehend. You've got to admit this. If you want to live in America, you need to adapt, conform without relinquishing all family traditions, just those that seem so radical and unlike ours.
