"Every thinking person, perhaps, is assailed at times with religious doubt. My own faith has wavered many a time. But I never told anyone of my spiritual aberrations for two reasons: (1) I feared that I might, by mere suggestion, disturb and damage the life and hopes of some fellow being; (2) because I agree with the writer who said, ‘There is a mean streak in anyone who will destroy another’s faith.’"

I do doubt. In fact, that is what keeps me searching for the truth. To doubt isn't wrong. To turn from God is. I don't feel guilty when I doubt. And it is human nature to question.

I actually see any doubts that enter into my mind as good things because I have never doubted to the point of giving up my faith. When a doubt enters my mind, I use it as an opportunity to search my heart and the Word of God. This process has actually proven to be useful because my faith always ends up being stronger as a result.

Only while around other people. The Bible says that the Holy Spirit is the temple of God and is shown by another's actions, I am all for what others do cause it is known by people and is agreed on. When 2 or 3 is gathered? I AM there also...the precess of the God watching over His people. The action I take is to agree apon my excusses and I will tell people that. Whatever I make up that would be right to me and told....LOVE your emenies as yourself...and so on.

You wouldnt be human if you didnt, as Madeline L'Engle said "Those who believe they belive in God but without passion in the heart, without uncertainty, without doubts, and even at times without despair, believe only in the idea of God, and not God himself." I think even when Daniel was standing in front of Goliath, twirling that sling and saying Im gonna cut you down in the name of the Lord, in his mind he was thinking... "right God" even after the Jews reached the promised land after seeing all the miracles God perfomed they doubted they could take the land and as a result had to walk in the wilderness for 40 years. I am thankful that God doesnt reward based on performance anymore and even when I do have doubts I actively seek a relationship with him and pray for a fresh renewing of the spirit.

YES!! In fact as of about 2 months ago my wife and I both were relatively devout Christians, and we have recently embraced our natural questions and we are currently going on a journey to find the truth, what ever it may be. Its kinda interesting, We were both ex-Bible college students, wanting to go into ministry and now we are leaning more towards Deism than anything. Who knows though...
Question everything, the truth can't help but win.

Yes i have been a christian 30 yrs and when i pray and have no answer i doubt but i have had a blessed life so far and know Jesus gives peace no other religion can - an assurance of life after death because of what he has done not my works, and acceptance unconditional.

It's human nature to question, that is why God has answers in His word, so I search things out when I wonder. God's holy spirit helps with this. There will always be why's on this earth since we can't see the beginning from the end like God can.

I do and I agonize over those doubts. I pray for them to pass and ask forgiveness for them.
I see people saying they never have doubts. They have violated one of the ten commandments just by saying they never have doubts. Thou shall not lie. None of us are perfect and we are all sinners so yes everyone has insidious doubts from time to time that creep in and cause sadness and depression.
