Unless it was in a complete vacuum, then yes gravity would force it to drop to the ground.

This is a silly question that any high-school dropout should know the answer to.
A bullet is the same as a rock - you throw a rock and as it slows down it falls. The same with a bullet - it's just a chunk of metal propelled by an explosion and it too performs the same drop as it slows. Note - the drop and the slowing are not directly related. The drop is due to gravity and the slowing is due to air-resistance.
In space a bullet fired would be affected solely by gravitational forces from planets etc.

yes, gravity would cause the projectile to eventually fall to earth. A really interesting experiment is to fire a rifle parallel to the earth and at the same time, drop a bullet of the same weight, from the same height as the rifle barrel. The bullet dropped, and the bullet fired, will both hit the ground at exactly the same time.
