I don't know, but I'm more concerned with imprisoning the Islamic terrorists and throwing away the keys.

the five key elements of Islam are
1. faith in one god. (ALLAH) everyone must do.
2. praying five time a day (salat) everyone must do.
3. charity (zakat, giving 2.5% of ones wealth to the poor) only for the well of.
4. fasting in ramadan (30 day from sunrise till sunset) everyone must do.
5. to visit the holy citys mecca & madinah (hajj, once in a life time for the people that can afored it)
the things that you have listed not the element but like wadu & head covering you need to do when you pray and the othere are just to show respect.

Where did ya get those three from? Those are the rules for prayer, dearie, not the five pillars I believe you're asking abt. Yr best bet is Brian Os answer-as a Muslim who can divorce my husband if he's too ugly, leave him to pay all the bills while I spend my wages on my playstation and car, study in all the universities I want as my Muslim sisters have done for the past 14 centuries, get fat and slobby if I can't be arsed I can definately vouch for Brian's contribution here. Belief, Charity, Pilgramage, Prayers and Fasting. Cheers Brian!

The only five key elements of Islam that I know are:
Faith, prayers, the "Zakat", the fast and pilgrimage (Hajj).
http://www.islamicity.com/mosque/pillars.shtml
The ones you are talking about are important to Islam as well.
Wudu refers to preparation before praying.
http://www.islamicity.com/Mosque/salat/salat6.htm
Head covering is refering to hijab (for women).
http://www.jannah.org/sisters/hijab.html
Removing shoes for entering a mosque and for praying.
A prayer mat offers a Muslim a clean surface to pray on.
I hope this helps!

It's called the 5 pillars. A quick google search could answer this question but if you insist on asking us....
1. Faith ( There is but one God, Allah, and Muhammed is His prophet)
2. Prayer ("salat" or recited prayers done 5 times daily facing Mecca)
3. Offering ("zakat" - giving 2.5% of your income to the poor and needy)
4. Fast (observing the holy month of Ramadan where you fast during daylight hours)
5. Hajj (to make the pilgramage to the Holy city of Mecca at least once in your life time if you are able to financially & physically)
