You will never get a muslim to agreed with you, But Yes what you said is true, In fact there is much more verses that protrays killings, & the Muslim world does not want us to know that. Any person that profess not that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, is false. Therefore these Islamic people religious ideals is a false teaching as their prophet was.

The People of the Book had to pay a tax to live in muslim area for hundreds of years. I'm guessing that's what the Jizya is. It was usually a very mild tax. So long as the tax was paid and the jews and Christians didn't attempt to convert Muslims, they were to be left alone.
Also, "may Allah destroy them" does not mean "let's kill them." Moreover, I think translation can be a huge issue here. Just googling gave me this translation:
[9:30] The Jews said, "Ezra is the son of GOD," while the Christians said, "Jesus is the son of GOD!" These are blasphemies uttered by their mouths. They thus match the blasphemies of those who have disbelieved in the past. GOD condemns them. They have surely deviated.
(thus illustrating why Muslims prefer for the Koran to be read its the original Arabic!)
This passage and further passages are illuminating where the Jews and Christians have gone wrong. Muslims believe that all three religions follow the same god, but that the Jewish and Christian scriptures and traditions have become corrupted....as opposed to everyone else who is just flat out wrong.

I'm a Christian, but perhaps their is something going on in which those verses are talking about, Also that is a different version of the Koran the oldest version does not put the words Christian or jew in it. I know this because My Mothers bf is Muslim and he has the Koran and I looked at it and saw not those words. I do not agree with the Koran but I see no reason to hate it. King Solomon in the bible even learned about other faiths I believe we should know and stand with the God we believe but we should learn about other faiths, but when we do we need to just be mindful so we do not turn away. the bible and Koran are not books to where you can take 2 verses and hope to fully understand it. it requires much study and understanding. the reason being I mentioned Solomon was because he turned away from God, and God warned him not to . I believe God wants us to study and understand other faiths but he wants us to know where we stand and he wants us to stay their in our study.

NO it doesnt DONT pull out a verse from the quran to make Islam look bad what are the verses beore it and after it..
And read the whole Quran for yoursekf pulling a verse or two out the quran is just bs...youre not getting the whole idea ..
the Quran teaching violence is one of the absurdest stories anti-islamists have ever spread, and one which, sadly, many ignorant ppl seem to believe.
i trust u are not one of them, and therefore i'd advise u to check out this amazing book for yourself, and i can guarantee u'll agree with me that no, the Quran does NOT tell its followers to kill people of different faiths, quite the opposite in fact. did u know that Islam stresses on peace? do u think the holy book of such a religion would encourage viloence? islam urges muslims to co-exist peacefully, and to attack only in self defence...
plus YOUR people in DETROIT kill one another 400 murders a year!

For people who actually take the time to READ the koran, it's a VERY enlightening experience.
There is but ONE verse dealing with "love"...and it concerns Moses.
The REST of the koran? 1 out of every 55 verses is about violence, waging war and being hostile to Jews and Christians.
Interesting. Very interesting.

I believe that all the major religions of the world have at least one thing in common. That is the principle of what Christians call the Golden Rule!
"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you!"
Seems a shame we can't find the meaning of that now days,
in our haste to destroy each other!

It might look like that at first glance, but you really need to look further into it. As a matter of fact, the Koran speaks highly of Jesus and also says that Jesus will return on judgment day. And i'm a Christian by the way.

they are talking about in the time of war..silly!!
and second is the curse of allah,,he is not telling people to kill jews and christians
well i have question.according to the bible
Ezek. 9:5]
And the Lord said, "Go through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare,
neither have you pity. SLAY UTTERLY OLD AND YOUNG, BOTH MAIDS AND LITTLE
CHILDREN, AND WOME
Josh 6:16]
Joshua said to the people of Israel, "The Lord has given you the city (of the
Canaanites).. all silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are c
consecrated unto the Lord: They shall come into the treasury of the Lord.
The people utterly DESTROYED ALL THAT WAS IN THE CITY, BOTH MAN AND WOMAN,
YOUNG AND OLD, AND OX AND SHEEP, AND ***, WITH THE EDGE OF THE SWORD.
Heb. 12:29] OUR GOD IS DESTROYING FIRE.
[Psalm. 94:1] O LORD, YOU GOD OF VENGEANCE.
[Job 7:21] Why do not you pardon my transgression and take away my iniquity?
[Ezek. 11:8] God said, "You have feared the sword, the sword I will bring
upon you."
[Amos 9:1] I will slay that left of them with the sword, not one of them
shall flee away.. I WILL COMMAND THE SWORD, AND IT SHALL SLAY
THEM.
[Jer. 49:37] I will send the sword after them, until I have consumed them.
(Let those who say Islam is the religion of the sword know that
the word "sword" is never mentioned in the Quran while the
Bible mentions it many times, in the way that you see here.)
[Ezek. 12:14] I will unsheathe the sword after them. I will let a few of them
escape from the sword, from famine and pestilence.
[Math. 10:34]
"Do not think that I have come to make peace on earth? I HAVE NOT COME TO BRING
PEACE, BUT A SWORD.
"For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her
mother."[said Jesus]!
[Luk. 12:49]
'I CAME TO CAST FIRE UPON THE EARTH, AND WOULD THAT IT WERE ALREADY KINDLED..
DO YOU THINK THAT I HAVE COME TO GIVE PEACE ON EARTH? NO, I TELL YOU, BUT
RATHER DIVISION; for from henceforth in one house there will be five divided,
three against two, and two against three. They will be divided, father against
son, and son against father, mother against daughter, and daughter against her
mother. [said Jesus]!
[Luk. 19:27]
For these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, BRING THEM
HERE AND SLAY THEM BEFORE ME.
[Luk. 14:26]
If any one comes to me and does not HATE his own father and mother and wife,
and children, and brothers and sisters yes and even his own life: he cannot be
my disciple.
according to the bible jesus is mercy less killer but according to the quran jesus is a prophet of allah who is innocent

I will just tell you what christians say when people point out the bloodthirsty parts of the bible
You're taking it out of context
Or
You are misinterpretting it
Or
That is a translation error
