People answer using words and phrases that dont answer the question?
Bible quotes dont work on most people.
It is redundant to try.

And If I ask
"How Can God Be Above All Logic?"

saying
Because he is the creator of all life

is a simple, cop out, answer

It has to do with the mindset of the people answering the question. Many Christians, when faced with a philosophical or scientific question, simply are not prepared to answer. They then fall back on the their religious paradigm. Case in point, there is a bumper sticker that says:

God said it, I believe it, and that's that!"

Pretty darn smug if you ask me. But, it does give insight to their mindset.

Hope this helps

In my opinion it is a terrible thing to not get an answer to your SIGNIFICANT question. But even worse than that is when someone thinks that their Bullshit question is significant.Such as yours. And even more worse is when they answer everything themselves. Why are you asking anything if you know it all?Maybe you can chat with God about taking his place sometime very soon.At least think about it.If he accepts your invite. Then I will talk to you soon.If not.Good luck being the only perfect person since creation besides our Lord and Saviour.Try to remember that not everything happens for reasons tat we can explain at the time.It always comes down to Faith and your ability to accept the truth as it is.And the ability to go forward even when things happen that can't be answered with physical evidence. This is Faith its best.

Somethings in life can be a cop out. I do not find your wondering about questions a cop out at all. People like to believe they have the answer, even if that answer revolves around one book. But it still doesn't make that answer correct , be it a cop out or not.

for someone to actually answer a question in context that person has to be able to understand the context and answer it.

terms like evolution or creation are merely labels describing what happened, not the force behind the action. Few people know that. What they do know is that they don't know enough to answer you.

I find that people who do not have the knowledge but will at least attempt to answer a question are far more honorable than the ones that will not.

the concepts of eternity, all knowing and all powerful are things outside most peoples graspe of thought to even understand let alone describe.

but I do understand your question. it is better to not answer than to waste ones time if you have no clue.

Yeah i do hate that, if i wanted a quote from the Bible i can very well look it up myself, but different people interpret the Bible differently, and it is those interpretations that I am interested in, not the text itself. Because i have read the text itself and I have my own beliefs about it which might be different from someone else's.

sort of sounds like you had "the answer" you just wanted someone else to say it ... they didn't and you're unhappy about any other answer. people answered what they felt and thought, accept it, good or bad it was an answer not really a cop out!

The reason Bible quotes don't work on most people is because most people are lost and cannot understand the Bible.

For the natural man (Meaning an unsaved person) cannot understand the things that are of the Spirit of God (meaning the Bible) for it is foolishness to him, nor can he know them for they are spiritually discerened.

By-the-way that comes from the Bible (1st Cor.2;14)

Since you've already answered the question before you posed it, here's my take:
Not all questions can be answered using Scripture, but many can, and in R & S, why shouldn't it be used if it pertains to the question?

I read some of your previous questions and they don't seem all that significant and there are some very good answers.

Are you actually looking for answers or just attacking people for believing in god?
