I have been getting a lot of stress headaches lately, and have been taking various headache medicines for the pain. I know that Tylenol is not safe to take for long periods of time due to potential liver (or is it kidney?) failure. Excedrin has acetominophen in it, which is the main ingredient in Tylenol. Is Advil safe to take regularly (say, for a couple of weeks)? Is Excedrin okay because it has less acetominophen than Extra-Strength Tylenol? Does anyone have any other suggestions of other things I can take to relieve the pain?

Any of the meds above are okay to take for 2 weeks or less. With ibu & acetamin drugs, it would be good to take food with it.

The pointn, though, is to get rid of the stress, which is causing the h/a. Stress can cause lots of long-term conditions that lead to major medical issues.

Most people know about stressbusters, but I'll reiterate a few.

Exercise. Walking even 10 minutes a day (30 is better) lets all of your muscles relax, relax--relaxed bodies don't have stress pain.

Bubble bath. Warm with your favorite scent.

Sleep. You've got to get enough sleep to function normally, let alone under stress.

Change bad habits. Caffiene & sugar leave you cold and dry a few minutes later. You feel tired, but you have to perform--headache.

I don't know anything about fen shui, but making your working space relaxing is a must. Bring in plants (lots of good sound control and pleasant vibes), hang relaxing pictures, and arrange your workspace so that you can find things easily, and keep it clean. Bring in fresh flowers and candy every so often.

Take care. Get rid of the problem, and you won't have to take meds.

Safe Headache Medicine

Go see your doctor. Have them put you on Fioricet. It's part codeine, part tylenol and part caffeine. It's good for stress headaches and migraines. One bottle of 30 will last me a good 6 months, but someone could reasonably take one 3 times a day at a max.

Other than that try Aleve. And Tylenol and Motrin are safe, just not taking it like 5 times a day for 3 months.

Pl try simple acupressure given below.

There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for RA, OA, Back ache and almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.

Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES,
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy, BODY CONSTITUTION etc are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.

Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.

Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more.

Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods, SMOKING and alcohole.
Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help if cough is not there.

But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it is very strong.

If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

For forehead/eye pain the points are in front of nails on the finger tips or 3-7 mm below.

It may disappear naturally too.

Try Aleve. But the recommended dosage is only 1 tablet. You don't need and shouldn't take more.
