We are not born into sin. A baby does not know the difference between right and wrong. Jesus said we had to become as little children. He meant innocent. When children reach the age of accountability, they have the need for repentance and baptism.

This goes back to Adam and Eve. When they sinned in the Garden of Eden, sin was born. Sin will always be a part of our lives as long as we are in our earthly bodies. Jesus died so that we don't have to pay the ultimate price which is death (Spiritual).

Jesus died for our sins once and for all as peace offer and not a payment of perpetual sins we are committing each day.
Sin is defined as transgression from the law. The law are commandments set by God for us to obey.
It is therefore a daily struggle to combat sin.
We are all like Adam and Eve. From early childhood, there are rules either imposed to us by parents or our own intinctive rule (i.e. getting naked, hatred). But we violate even our own rule! Hence, sin is not inheritable. It is with us.
Apostle Paul said, "why have I done those things that I dont like?"
