This is just a myth. The true word is actually maidens not virgins, for both men and women, and definately thats not what suicide bombers are going to get

What's with the 72 virgins controversy? Let's be clear about the Islamic concept of heaven, shall we? The Islamic concept of heaven is that there will be equality, human beings will be the most superior race but there will be no racism or rivalry in terms of superiority and finally to serve all of mankind, there will be, waiting on them, manservants and maids. Heaven as a whole is repeatedly described as Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That's it!! That is where we want to go and live with our families once again but this time for eternity.

There is no concept of 72 virgins in Islam; what's true is that Paradise is meant to have lovely maidens there but they are meant for company and yes, people may wed them but there is no such concept as every dying man receiving 72 virgins. The Quran does NOT proclaim bestowing upon every dead Muslim a bunch of maidens for his sexual needs. That would simply make this religion repulsive; as for the manservants, even they are described as pearls. Does that mean that they are there for gay sex? Absolutely not! They are SERVANTS meant to serve the people who are destined to live in Heaven forever.

Finally, let's look at what a Muslim looks forward to in Heaven: He/she looks forward to the countenance of Allah/God which was lost when Adam & Eve did not obey His orders. That is the supreme triumph in Islam, not some orgy with fabricated lasses! Paradise is supposed to be a beautiful place which has gardens of the loveliest waters and even honey and milk. It's beauty will be changing so that the prospect of eternity there does not bore anyone, ever.

So, the next time you hear someone mentioning the 72 virgins, tell them they are wrong and seek knowledge before judging"

Did you see either "Family Guy" or "American Dad" last Sunday? The Muslim terrorist blew himself up, got to heaven, and his 72 virgins were a bunch of acne faced teen boys playing World of Warcraft. They are not virgins. They are servants for the Muslim women. Virgins is a mistranslation made by a sexist. The proper term is Al Hoor. When a Muslim woman dies and goes to Jinnah hopefully she gets 72 servants to do everything for her. That is one of her rewards in Jinnah. We won't do anything in Jinnah except eat, sleep, and spend time with our family and friends. Anything we want in Jinnah we will get. Both men and women get eternal life.
