In case you don't know, the movie stars Ben Stein (former aide to Nixon and TV guy) as a "rebel" who uncovers the "conspiracy" about how the "evidence" of intelligent design is being supressed in acedamia. The argument is that the atheist scientists have a religious grudge and "Big Science" is covering up proof of creationism.

No I'm sure intelligent people will take it for the farce it is.

I think the backlash will be against Ben Stein's reputation as an intellectual.

I would normally say no, but I was just thinking about the stink that was raised over the fictional book "The DaVinci Code", so there might be some repercussions.

Wow, you think that anyone would be stupid enough to believe a story as far fetched as that one? If they did believe a story like that, they probably should do the world and not reproduce and crush their reproductive organs with a bolder. Come on people they are all stories, based on fiction (and that includes the Bible only based on fiction).

No. I'm not in the slightest bit concerned. The movie sounds dumb and only dumb people will be taken in by it and they already hate atheists so it won't make any difference.

Sounds like a pretty stupid movie that will likely garner further support for anti-atheism (essentially anti-logic). It is already so rampant now a days. But hey, everyone has a right to fiction, which is obviously what this is.

Oh great, I can hear all the inane, ill-thought drivel already. The fundies will buy this in its entirety and R&S will be barraged with questions based on their poor understanding of fiction.
