Just a little mental exercise, here. Those who lack the capacity for hypothetical situations need not play along.

Pretend, for a moment, that I would like to convert to the religion that you practice, but you don't want me to. What reasons can you give for me NOT to do it? Do you think you can talk me out of it?

Do your damnedest (figuratively) to push me over to the other side. Be creative! I'm pretty stubborn.

Thanks in advance for your answers. I hope everyone has fun with this question.

The water in the baptistry is always cold, we buy the wrong brand of grape juice for communion (the stuff gives me hives), the pews are hard, the church is in a bad neighborhood, and the preacher likes to toss around those goofy chain e-mail "facts" like they're gospel truths (There's more historical evidence for Jesus than for Abraham Lincoln! I mean, besides, photographs and DNA evidence and stuff...).

I have no religion. The worst part about having no religion is that you realize how silly religious people are sometimes. You also have no myths to believe in to give you false hope and comfort. You have to embrace the real world.

since i am a witch or wiccan. i wouldn't be able to talk u out of being one. there is only one rule an' it harm none do what ye will. which means as long as u don't hurt anybody, or kill them ur ok. also there is the 3 fold rule. what ever energy u send out u get back 3 times as powerful. positive equals goods things will come to u. negative equals bad things will happen to u or u family.

you would have to admit that you are a sinner, i.e. not perfect, and accept the love and sacrifice of God.

Then you would have to do nice things for the people who are mean to you.

yeah, love your enemies...
but the worst part is, the worst part of my religion will still better your life...

its the followers that will drive you away

We strive for a state of perfectness that we can never attain. It is disheartening at times. I like to achieve at everything I do and I know I can never achieve true christlike attitude and feeling.

Sorry......I can't think of any reason why not to become a Christian.

Christ is the only way to heaven.....and I want all people to get saved.

Hypothetical or not.....this is impossible for me
