my brother in law went through basic training from the navy, after graduating successfully he was discharged with error.dont know what that means but was told it wasnt a dishonerable discharge,we want to know if theres any programs for surgery on his kidney transplant if the forces will help with any kind of insurance,or v.a. assistance?surgery is taking place in a couple months so its an after basic training injury, the basic training did not cause this.

No. He is not a veteran.

In error means "fraudulent enlistment."

He know why he was discharged.

His circumstances sound crappy and I am sorry, but the VA is for veterans and even we need to qualify for care.
