She needs some time! After 3 or 4 times you think you would catch on and take the hint. Stop bothering her. :--#)

It really doesn't matter. She apparently "need(s) time to get over him". A good way to leave things is to tell her that if she needs someone to talk with or wants to hang out some time to give you a call. This will allow her the courtesy of not feeling pressured and still lets her know you are interested. If she is just blowing you off, it allows her and you to have some dignity.

I think that just means that it's really not a good time for her right now.
If she persists in using this reason, then she really isn't interested and you should not pursue her anymore. She doesn't want to date anyone right now, but you might have a chance after a couple of months.
You never know.
Good luck and don't get down about it.

maybe, depending on the relationship
instead of asking her out...you should show compassion...invite her to distract her mind or something like a movie but tell her is not string attached.
or
she just doesnt wanna date you..if she dumped him it means she had gotten over him at least a week before she dumped him

well the answer can go two ways, yes she really does need to get over him, or no she does not like u and is trying not to hurt you, all u have to do is give her about a week, maybe two than ask her again, and if she still says no ask her why, and hopefully she'll answer with honesty

yes, if it's only been three days then how is possibly going to be able to like another guy? It might take a few weeks or even a month depending on how serious the relationship was.

It's like driving 500 miles then getting to your destination and then driving 500 miles immediately after. you need time to rest and get you mind straight before you go for a ride again. Keep trying. If you are worth it to her, she will not take long

she means it man,
she is also saying
you are a good candidate for a relationship,
BUT, i need a fling first to get over my old guy
someone who likes her too much wont be a fling, he will become attached and then shell have 2 serious guys to stress over
she just wants FUN
that the time she wants

It depends on the girl, but most girls I know take a while. Even if it's for the sake of the ex, you don't want to seem like a guy-hopper.
Has she given you any other indication that she has feelings for you?

Depends, either she is trying to get over the last relationship or she is looking for excuses not to go out with you. You failed to mention how long her last relationship was and how involved they were. Both are very important details.
