some of you are blessed to have a sister from birth. Others find a sister in a close friend. Some of us are granted a sister through a relationship with Christ. How does having or being a sister change you? How do you influence others because of this relationship?

I have two sisters by birth and I have to say that they are my very best friends. My mom always used to tell us when we were young and would fight that we should be grateful for each other because someday we would be best friends. I always thought she was crazy. Now I realize that she was absolutely right. I have had good and bad friends that have come and gone, but none of them compare to the friendship I have with my sisters.

I have 3 sisters and I am the youngest.I don't know what it would be like without them...my older sister was always over protective of me as a child and a teenager...I am 33 and she still tends to want to guide and nurture me.I find it rather annoying and don't feel as though she gives me enough credit in anything I do....we were abused as children by a stepdad and that's probably why she is this way..I just ignore her and act as if everything she says is fine and we seem to get along that way.
I am not sure if this is what you are looking for or not...I wish I could have the kind of relationship with my sister that she thinks she has with me.She believes we are best of friends and that's just not the case.I am not close to my other sisters either...but that's another story.
As far as influincing others because of the relationship I have with my sisters...I just try to teach my own children and whom ever I may converse with to always except people for who they are.You don't have to like everything some one does but just try to except people and love them .

I have 5 sisters and 1 brother. They are all older than me, so I'm the baby of the family. More like a bonus baby since I came much later than the other 6. They are all very nice to me and help me out when times get rough. I also have 6 nephews and 4 nieces. My sisters had 2 kids each.

The family is the gift of learning to love others that are different than yourself. If we do not learn to Love all our family, and I mean All, we don't stand a chance in the world! If we develop a Love for "All" our family members, then we advance to the lesson of, "The Brotherhood of Man"!!1
Peace and Blessings....

I am an older sister and now that I am an adult, she is my best friend. I want to protect her and help and as much as I can. She tells me exactly what she thinks and is not afraid to make me mad because of it. I admire her and I would not trade her for the world!

I never had a natural sister (I probably would have had more girlfriends as a result if I did)

But.......

I have many sisters in Christ now.....and it means alot to me

If your the social type (and she is too) it will keep your live in a more positive way of life. If you are one that wants to do all yourself, you may not like having one "hanging" around. It depends on each of us.

I love my little sister to death and have always been jealous as all hell of her--she always succeeds at EVERYTHING! It's disgusting--but I'd still take a bullet or jump in front of a bus to protect her--It's not her fault she's perfect

My sister died before I was born, so I never got the chance to know her.

I look forward to meeting her one day in heaven.
