In your opinion would that produce more people of faith or less?

Do you think a decent education would make people less inclined to need GOD because they would have the ability to make more money? and if that is what you believe are you saying it's Money and Man's education the only thing a person needs to be:
Successful, Humble, Happy, Kind, Giving, Tolerant, Loving and Peaceful ?
Or does having money, power, great education cause most to be Arrogant and look at themselves as thier own personal (god*)?

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. That is why Paul had a thorn in his side, humility, making sure the GLORY is for GOD!

Statistically, higher educated people are less religious. The cause and effect are not clear though. I think that a good education would help people to consider different worldviews, and not necessarily choose their parents'. Also, a good education may make you put religion itself to the test, as Douglas Adams describes here:

(around 3:50). And indeed, an educated person sees him/herself more as an agent, maker of his own destiny, etc. This may move people away from religion as well. However, if all people had the same education then I think religion as a whole would change instead of most people leaving.

Personally, all my family had excellent levels of education. We are all atheists. My brother and sister are both very successful, happy, kind, loving, tolerant and peaceful. We tend not to be humble because we call it as we see it. I would like to say that I have the same qualities, but I need an external person to judge that.

I do not think of myself as a god. Any more than I think of myself as a leprechaun. However, the level of education I have had does give me critical thinking abilities which in turn allows me to question the precepts of religions. I have yet to find a religion that stands up to scrutiny.

One who is a product of a system that teaches them to be more analytical and rational is less likely to be religious. Religious dogma requires a certain amount of faith versus rationality. This doesn't mean the best education would cause one to become less spiritual. While obviously not pure science, spirituality is more rational and analytical than religion and therefore requires less faith.

.In my experience religious people are more arrogant than spiritual people probably because they feel judged by their higher power and therefore judge others. (You will rot in h--l, etc.)

A good mantra especially for for religious people is:

----"I will not judge anyone or anything including myself"---.

If one takes this homily to heart for even 5 minutes, at least 15 minutes of feeling free will likely follow.

Your premise seems to be that when people have the opportunity to earn more money they forget about God, and I think that's untrue.

I suspect that the reason more education is correlated with less belief in God is that in academia, you are forced to examine how you know what you know, and to evaluate how valid the source of that information is.

Education doesn't improve intelligence.

As an example, check out the GOP candidates Tancredo, Huckabee and Brownback...three highly educated and experienced people...

Not one of them believes in evolution.

See? Dumb is forever. Education won't change that.

Being uneducated does not equal being religious. There are many highly educated people out there who are religious due to live experiences or just because.

Did the asker mean to use fewer? Less implies that one cannot count the number of people of faith. See your dictionary for assistance.

Less is for measurable quantities, like liquid and dry measures.

Fewer is for countable things, like people.

Many would still turn it down in favor of easier options--learning requires effort and people are lazy

Education doesn't always equate with intelligence. Or wisdom.
