I think it is different, but not what I would want. It reminds me of a gift a boyfriend would give his girlfriend in middle school. I would like it if my boyfriend took the time to draw it in the sand himself. I don't think it would get put over my fireplace either. Most likely it would end up in my bathroom on the wall there-and thats only if it is a small picture. If its a large poster size...then I'm with some of the other answers and its going under my bed or way back in a closet to not be seen.

Yeah I hate them too. You aren't getting good exposure on these boards at all.
What I don't understand is why do the sunsets look so fake? If you live in Santa Barbara, why can't you just go to the beach and take the picture yourself at sunset? Then it wouldn't look so photoshop.
Romantic would be to go to the beach and do it yourself--plus it would save the $75. But hey--it's California.

It's not my cup of tea, but had my husband gone and done that, or written our names with sticks in a forest or something then yes that would be cute, but this sort of thing is just not to my taste at all.

Personally, I wouldn't like it. I wouldn't like that you spent good money on something that I would simply put in the back of a closet. Don't buy her something simply for the sake of buying her something.
I'm with Blunt here...I've found jewelry to always be appropriate when you can't think of anything else.

Tacky and not meaningful. If you wrote it when you were with her on the beach and took a pic of it it would be much more thoughtful.

It's a really cute idea. My friend's wife did it herself and he LOVES it! You can even see her little feet marks in the sand.

I'm sorry but they seem a little tacky. It would be romantic if you had written your names in the sand and took the picture yourself.
