Swarovski crystals are not very durable. Moissanite is a better choice, it is a third of the cost of diamonds. It is a lab created stone, found in nature, but it's very rare, so they choose to make it in a lab. CZs don't last as long and can become cloudy over time.
Charles and Covard (the only company that makes moissanite in the world) has a lifetime guarantee on their stones, and will replace them if they ever do become cloudy, which they claim they won't.
I like moissanite, they have more fire than diamonds do. I would choose something more durable than Swarvoski crystals.

I think that would be so beautiful and less expensive than a diamond and the Swarovski Crystal shines so pretty in the light. I think that is a great idea. I got a small diamond which I love so much it is the only diamond I own but if my me beloved could not afford a diamond I would have got a emerald cubic zironcia or a swarovski ring also.

I'm not a diamond fan at all, and I am not a stickler for traditions, but I had a swarovski crystal dress ring, it chipped after about 6 months wear. I'd consider an alternative stone, remember it does not have to be a diamond.

I'm a pretty traditional person, and wouldn't expect anything less than the ring of my dreams (which would be diamond). If the best a man can offer right now is a Swarovski Crystal, then either accept it and wear it with pride, or opt to wait until you both find something meaningful and lasting to serve as the symbol of your love.

I am a very big fan of Swarovski Crystals, If your looking for the sparkle effect...crystal does shine! My personal opinion diamonds are over rated and over priced. Theres an endless supply of diamonds in vaults around the world. If a gift comes from the heart, does it really matter? If your a material girl, you need the diamond. I,d rather have someones heart than their gifts!

Hmmm. Not a big fan of crystal, myself. Besides, I would think a crystal would chip easily on a ring you wear every day. I don't think the ring has to be a diamond, but it does have to be a gemstone (or a plain band) that will hold up to daily wear.

Swarovski is kinda cheap looking (in person- doesn't look anything like a diamond) they don't make their setting for everyday wear.... ( use to work for a company that carried and made their stuff). I would just get my birthstone or something nice. Just make sure setting will last- lots of fashion rings are not made for everyday wear.
